Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-08-08
The service
imu studio (“imu”, “we”) lets you generate images, video, audio, and depth outputs with third-party AI models, and keeps the results in a personal library. This engineering draft is not legal advice and requires final human/legal approval before public launch. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Your content
- You own your generations. To the extent permitted by law and by the upstream model providers’ terms, the media you generate and the prompts you write are yours.
- You grant us a hosting license. So that we can actually operate the service, you grant imu a worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, reproduce, transmit, and display your content - solely to provide the service to you (storage, playback, downloads, sharing features you invoke). This license ends when the content or your account is deleted, except for retained records described in the Privacy Policy.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for the prompts you submit, the media you upload, and how you use the output — including ensuring you have rights to any input media.
Acceptable use
You may not use imu to create, upload, or distribute:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualized depiction of minors — this results in immediate termination and reporting to the relevant authorities.
- Content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or material that impersonates a real person to deceive, defraud, or harass.
- Content that infringes the intellectual-property rights of others.
- Malware, spam, or attempts to probe or disrupt the service.
Generation requests are additionally subject to the content policies of the upstream model providers (Google, ByteDance, OpenAI, and others); requests they refuse are refused. We may moderate, remove content, review user-submitted reports, preserve moderation audit records, or suspend accounts to enforce these rules.
Paid features and credits
- Payment channels. Purchases can be offered through Apple, Google, and web payment channels managed through RevenueCat. Store purchases are also subject to the applicable Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or payment-provider terms.
- Credits. imu can grant promotional/free credits, subscription credits, and purchased top-up credits. Generation jobs reserve estimated credits before work starts and debit the final cost after completion.
- Failed or cancelled jobs. If a reserved generation fails or is cancelled before it completes, the backend is expected to release or refund the unused reservation according to the billing ledger.
- Refunds and reversals. Store refunds, chargebacks, reversals, and support cancellations can remove available credits or create a debt when already-spent purchased credits are reversed. imu may reconcile provider records with its ledger before restoring access to paid functionality.
- No card storage. imu does not store raw payment card credentials.
Service availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Model availability, pricing, features, and output quality depend on third-party providers and may change or be discontinued at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, imu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Account termination
- By you: delete your account at any time in-app under Account Settings - Delete account. This permanently removes your content and identity as described in the Privacy Policy. Some transaction, security, billing, account-deletion, and moderation audit records can be retained when required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create legal risk. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you a chance to export your content first; for serious violations (including CSAM) we terminate immediately.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
